The waste and water pollution in India continues to pose a significant challenge to industries, to the extent that pressure is exerted on them to improve their practices. And that is where REVY Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd comes in. This Gujarat-based cleantech start-up includes clean energy and reusable water.
Meet the Team
Dr Vanita Prasad started REVY. She is an environmental biotechnologist with nearly three decades of hands-on experience in waste treatment and bioremediation. As Founder, Director, and CTO, she drives the company’s tech and innovation, always pushing for faster, cleaner, and brighter biological solutions to waste.
A strong team supports Vanita in the meantime. Rajneesh Prasad, the co-founder and CEO, handles big-picture strategy, partnerships, and business growth. Bhavik Kathrani, the co-founder and CFO, keeps an eye on the money, compliance, and daily operations. Together, they bring solid science and sharp business sense to the table.
How REVY Does It
REVY’s technology is focused on biotech; it uses biological processes to treat organic waste and industrial wastewater. Their solutions boost biogas production, reduce sludge, clean wastewater, and even recover energy from materials that would’ve just polluted rivers or been dumped on land. Instead of letting waste pile up, they help industries turn it into bioenergy, clean water, and other valuable products.
Their systems work exceptionally well for food processing plants, distilleries, dairies, and city wastewater facilities.
What’s New and Who’s Backing Them
REVY landed early seed funding, about $10,000. However, strong support from groups like Venture Centre, Social Alpha, and Savli Technology & Business Incubator. That backing helped them sharpen their tech and roll out pilot projects.
Recently, Dr Vanita Prasad got picked for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program at IIM Lucknow, a big nod to her work and REVY’s place in India’s climate-tech scene. The company’s got its own IP-protected bio-cultures and a digital monitoring platform called R-EMAPP, both of which are getting noticed for making a real difference on the ground.
Why REVY Matters
India’s moving toward a circular economy, and REVY proves that waste isn’t just garbage, it’s a resource. By cutting emissions, extracting more energy from waste, and keeping pollution down, they’re helping industries grow in a way that’s actually good for the environment.
