- Mega Solar Boost: The government is planning for a mind-boggling 22,000 MW of solar power generation in the next five years with Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy-2022. That’s a gigantic jump towards fulfilling energy needs with clean, pure energy
- Solar Cities in the Making: Ayodhya city is being built as a model solar city, and 16 municipal corporations in the state, including Noida, are becoming solar centers too.

Bio-Energy Boost
- Projects Sanctioned under Bio-Energy: Uttar Pradesh State Bio-Energy Policy-2022 sanctioned 53 Compressed Bio-Gas, Bio-Coal, Bio-Diesel, and Bio-Ethanol projects. Of them, 24 are already operational, demonstrating tangible achievements in diversification of energy resources.
- Cleaner Fuel for Farmers: Such bio-energy units will supply cleaner, more affordable energy sources for rural regions, primarily farmers, with less reliance on fossil fuels and emissions.
