Premier Energies has already contracted a 400 MW solar cell production plant in Telangana, enhancing the renewable energy production system in India. The plant has been established in E-City, Maheshwaram, near Hyderabad, and is a milestone in the growth process of the company. The commissioning is also in line with the efforts of the Indian to localise solar supply chains and cut down on its reliance on imports, particularly with the increased need of clean energy solutions.
Capacity develops Domestic Solar production.
As the new unit is incorporated, the total solar cell production capacity of the Premier Energies was enhanced to 3.6 GW/annum as compared to 3.2 GW/annum. This firm already has large-scale facilities that produce solar modules in large scale with a cumulative capacity of more than 5 GW. This growth takes Premier Energies to be among the top integrated solar manufacturers in India with the capability to fulfill the utility-scale and rooftop solar demand.
High Efficiency output and Advanced Technology.
The new facility provided is grounded on the Mono PERC solar cell technology, which is more efficient and works better in low-light. The plant is made in modernized automation and quality-control systems to produce high output and quality. The company officials believe the advanced technology will assist the company in maximizing the yield without making production expensive in the international solar market.
One of a 11,000 Crore Long Term Growth Strategy.
The 400 MW plant is within the overall expansion plan of over 11000 crore by Premier Energies, which will see the company increase its manufacturing substantially by 2028. The medium term plan involves expansion of solar cell capacity to 10.6 GW and module capacity to 11.1 GW every year. Another strategy the company is considering is taking a backward integration into the manufacture of ingot and wafer, to enhance its supply chain further.
Funding India Renewable Energy Aims.
India has also established an ambitious goal of achieving a non-fossil fuel capacity of 500 GW by 2030 and solar energy has been a key part of this goal. The growth of Premier Energies contributes to the government policies like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat by providing local employment, increasing production capacity, and energy security. The Telangana plant will have a positive impact on the local economy and India at large in the transformation of clean energy.
