OLA Electric has launched its much-awaited Roadster X and Roadster X+ electric motorcycles in India. The Roadster X starts at ₹74,999 and the Roadster X+ starts at ₹1.04 lakh. These are designed to provide performance with efficiency, and it will be offered with multiple battery pack options for a balance of power, range, and cutting-edge technology.
Both motorcycles share the same support for OLA’s hypercharger network across the country and arrive with a 3-year warranty standard, optional up to 5 or 8 years, depending on choices. Deliveries will start by mid-March 2025, except in the case of the 9.1kWh battery size, which comes into effect by April 2025.
Main Features and Specifications
1. Roadster X: Compact and Efficient
The Roadster X boasts a 4.3-inch color LCD display, cruise control, reverse mode, advanced regenerative braking, all-LED headlights, and connected bike technology. The three riding modes that can be switched through are Normal, Eco, and Sport. This versatility helps cater to different riding conditions.

This Roadster X is powered by a 7kW electric motor that delivers peak power at 9bhp. It comes in three variations of battery configurations.
- 2.5kWh battery: 140 km range, 0-40 km/h in 3.4 seconds, top speed of 105 km/h
- 3.5kWh battery: 196 km range, 0-40 km/h in 3.1 seconds, top speed of 118 km/h
- 4.5kWh battery: 252 km range, 0-40 km/h in 3.1 seconds, top speed of 118 km/h
2. Roadster X+: High Performance and Extended Range
The Roadster X+ offers a few additional premium features, including front disc brakes, which provides improved safety. The vehicle features an 11kW more powerful electric motor and delivers a maximum power output of 14bhp, along with the choice of two different batteries:
- 4.5kWh battery: 252 km IDC-certified range, 0-40 km/h in 2.7 seconds, top speed of 125 km/h
- 9.1kWh battery: 4680 Bharat Cell, Range: 501 km IDC-certified, 0-40 kmph in 2.7 seconds, Top Speed: 125 kmph

Both models have IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof protection and have a chain drive system with an integrated MCU for efficient torque transfer. The bikes also come with flat cables, which increase overall durability and reliability.
Charging and Availability
OLA will supply a 1kW charger as standard equipment, with the option of installing a 2.2kW charger on request for the faster charging options. The two motorcycles will come in five colours, catering to different rider preferences.
The deliveries for the Roadster X and the 4.5kWh version of the Roadster X+ will begin in mid-March 2025. The Roadster X+, with a 9.1kWh battery, will start being available April 2025.
