JSW MG Motor India has recorded domestic wholesales of 5,500 units in March 2025, a strong 9% YoY growth over 5,050 units in the same period last year. The company’s strong EV portfolio of the Comet EV, ZS EV, and Windsor EV were instrumental in propelling sales, with over 85% of the volume coming from these vehicles.

MG Windsor EV Posts New Sales Record

India’s best-selling electric vehicle, the Windsor EV, registered its record-high monthly sales in March 2025. Its popularity lies in its pocket-friendly price point, extensive variant range, and premium features. With demand reaching new heights, MG is doubling the production capacity of the Halol plant to accommodate future launches.

MG Windsor Crosses 15,000 Units of Production

To its success, the Windsor EV also crossed the 15,000-unit production mark in February 2025. The vehicle has topped India’s EV sales for four consecutive months from October 2024 to January 2025.

Packed with a solitary electric motor of 134 hp and 200 Nm torque, Windsor is also fitted with a 38 kWh battery pack which provides a gauged range of 332 km based on the fully charged power bank. It is also loaded with premium features like 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and panoramic glass sunroof, making it one of the most sought-after EVs available for purchase.

Two New Models Under ‘MG Select’ to Thin Out Portfolio

JSW MG Motor India is set to launch two new models under its select retail chain, ‘MG Select’. Both the much-awaited MG Cyberster and MG M9 have been launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and will be flagship offerings. MG’s two-door electric sports convertible Cyberster is rolling out this month, along with the performance version in the MG lineup. The M9 is joining the premium segment with a larger battery pack of anticipated more than 430 km range.

MG Motor India, as it expands its EV footprint and adds new models to the lineup, is solidifying its position as a leader in the electric mobility space in the country.
