Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) unveilis its first-ever battery electric SUV, the ‘e VITARA,’ at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Alongside this flagship electric vehicle (EV), the automaker introduced a range of comprehensive electric eco-solutions, signalling its commitment to revolutionizing India’s EV landscape.
Innovative Platform and Exceptional Range
The eVITARA, built on the advanced ‘HEARTECT-e’ EV platform, offers exceptional technology and efficiency. With two battery options—49kWh and 61kWh—it provides an impressive range of over 500 km on a single charge. This innovative platform is engineered to set new standards in performance, safety, and reliability for electric vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki aims to position India as a global hub for EV manufacturing. The e VITARA will be exported to over 100 countries, including major markets like Japan and Europe, highlighting the automaker’s dedication to ‘Make in India.’

- Seven airbags, including a driver-side knee airbag, as standard.
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with 60 advanced features.
Accessible in 10 striking colours, including four dual-tone options, the e VITARA promises to cater to diverse customer preferences.

Enhanced Customer Support Network
Maruti Suzuki is establishing 1,500 EV-enabled service workshops across 1,000 cities to support its ambitious EV rollout. These workshops will feature specially trained technicians and state-of-the-art equipment to address all EV-related needs, including charging solutions.
Phased Rollout Across NEXA Dealerships
The e VITARA will be introduced nationwide through NEXA dealerships in a phased rollout, ensuring customers a premium and seamless buying experience.
