He rose to prominence as an officer of prominent organizations including NTPC, POWERGRID, ALSTOM, Reliance Energy, Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO), and Skipperseil Ltd.
Negi, as Managing Director of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO), led the addition of 21,300 km of cables, 830 substations, and over 23,000 MW of power generation capacity in Gujarat.
His drive for integration of renewable energy into the grid has been welcomed across the board, reflecting his pursuit of clean sources of power.
