Jupiter International Limited has been awarded an important clean energy contract, which is a –Letter of Empanelment (LoE) of 64.95 crore by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The order entails the supply of off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems within the rural and farm lands in the state of Maharashtra, which further propels the state towards sustainable irrigation solutions Position Under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana

Jupiter international is to manufacture, supply, install, test, and maintain long term maintenance of solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) under the state-run Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY). The plan will substitute the diesel-operated irrigation pumps with clean and renewable solar variants to enhance water supply to agricultural farms and minimise reliance on fuels and high costs of operation.

Strategic Acquisition of Solar Irrigation Solutions.

The transaction is a major milestone in the history of Jupiter International since it is venturing outside the manufacturing of solar powered equipment into the solar irrigation market, which is a fast growing sector in the Indian renewable energy sector. The company, which has had good reputation in terms of power solution and solar cell production, is now settling to be an end-to-end provider of solar pump projects customized to the agricultural sector.

Sustainability and Farmer Benefits Leadership View.

Commenting on the development, Akash Garodia, Promoter and Whole-Time Director at Jupiter International, said that the empanelment was a step in the right direction to provide sustainability at the grassroots level. He pointed out that substituting diesel pumps with the use of solar technology will help to cut down carbon emission by a large percentage and to also boost the income of the farmers through lower costs of operation and more stable irrigation.

    Farmer Tactics and Dissemination Programs

Jupiter will undertake the parts of the rollout of the project by holding the farmer awareness programmes over WhatsApp messaging, SMS campaigns, and regional engagement networks. These will be aimed at sensitizing the beneficiaries on the benefits of the scheme, application process, and installation schedules, making it an easy undertaking with increased adoption rates.

Correlating with the Clean Agriculture Goals of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra ambitions of solarising agriculture are in line with the national aims of increasing renewable energy use and decarbonisation of the agricultural industry. The program by MSEDCL with the assistance of execution capacity of Jupiter international is a great move towards firming the transition of clean energy in the Indian region and also sustaining the livelihoods of the rural people.
