India will be one of the participants of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, between January 19 and 23. The nation will emphasize its speedy growth in clean energy and digitalization.

    Focus on Key Sectors

Some of the key areas of investment that India will display include solar energy, green hydrogen, smart cities, and the digital economy. The authorities affirmed these zones are the top development prospects of India, and they are in line with international sustainability.

    Clean Energy Leadership

India is leading in renewable energy in the world. The country has already put in place over 200 GW of renewable energy and is aiming at putting in place 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. India will also showcase its success in solar power development, green hydrogen initiatives, and massive renewable infrastructure development at Davos.

    Green Hydrogen Push

India will reiterate its goal of making it a green hydrogen industry with exports. The Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat projects are already being implemented, and India is being placed as a future clean fuel provider to the world markets. Indian officials indicated that hydrogen will be at the center of energy change in the country.

    Smart Cities and Digital Economy

India will also emphasize its Smart Cities Mission that incorporates renewable energy, efficient transport, and digital infrastructure. Fintech, e-commerce, and AI innovation will be introduced as the driving force of inclusive growth through the digital economy.

    Luring International Investors

The Indian delegation intends to lure international investors by exhibiting policy changes and incentives as well as opportunities in clean energy and technology. Authorities also highlighted that India is a safe place to do business and it has a huge domestic market.

    Future Outlook

The involvement of India in WEF Davos 2026 indicates its intentions of taking the lead in terms of sustainable development. India is trying to make it an active participant in shaping a low-carbon future by introducing solar energy and green hydrogen, smart cities, and digital innovation.
