Gensol Engineering Limited has been awarded a major contract to construct a 245 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project at the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Power Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The contract, valued at around ₹967.98 crore inclusive of GST, was awarded by a leading public sector undertaking. It involves engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work, besides three years of comprehensive operations and maintenance services.
Second Big Win at Khavda
This comes close on the heels of Gensol’s second big EPC contract win at Khavda Solar Park within a short span. Last month, it won an EPC contract worth ₹1,062.97 crore for a 275 MW solar PV project at the same location. Having won these contracts consecutively, Gensol would now develop a cumulative 520 MW of solar capacity at Khavda slated to be the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park.
