Gensol Engineering Limited has been awarded a major contract to construct a 245 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project at the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Power Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The contract, valued at around ₹967.98 crore inclusive of GST, was awarded by a leading public sector undertaking. It involves engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work, besides three years of comprehensive operations and maintenance services.

    Second Big Win at Khavda

This comes close on the heels of Gensol’s second big EPC contract win at Khavda Solar Park within a short span. Last month, it won an EPC contract worth ₹1,062.97 crore for a 275 MW solar PV project at the same location. Having won these contracts consecutively, Gensol would now develop a cumulative 520 MW of solar capacity at Khavda slated to be the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park.

    Commitment to Sustainable Energy

On these back-to-back orders, Anmol Singh Jaggi, Managing Director and Chairman of Gensol Engineering, said, “These back-to-back orders at Khavda Solar Park epitomize Gensol’s commitment to the delivery of high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.”

    Advancing India’s Renewable Goals

The Khavda RE Power Park is one of the most important projects under India’s plan to expand renewable energy generation. Gensol is contributing in a big way to fulfilling the country’s ambitious targets for sustainable energy development by taking up such large projects.

    Project Details and Future Outlook

The 245 MW solar PV project will have advanced solar panels and all other associated infrastructure that allows for more harnessing of solar energy efficiently. This project comes with three years of operations and maintenance services to guarantee the project’s long-term performance. Gensol’s increasing portfolio in Khavda now shows it as a rising leader of the renewable energy market in India. These strategic projects will not only further strengthen Gensol’s market position but also contribute meaningfully to supporting India’s transition toward cleaner sources of energy.
