    BMW India has taken a bold step into the future by unveiling its first-ever ‘Made in India’ electric vehicle, the BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric eDrive20L M Sport. Launched at the prestigious Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, this premium electric SUV combines cutting-edge technology with local manufacturing excellence.

    Affordable Luxury: Pricing and Availability

    The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric is set to redefine the premium EV segment in India. It is priced at an introductory ex-showroom cost of Rs 49,00,000. Customers can now book the SUV at BMW dealerships nationwide, and financing options start at Rs 38,422 per month through BMW Financial Services.

    Design and Color Palette

    The SUV has five striking metallic paint options: Mineral White, Carbon Black, Portimao Blue, Sparkling Copper Grey, and Skyscraper Grey. Designed to embody space, comfort, and versatility, the X1 All Electric is tailored for the evolving aspirations of ‘New Bharat’.

    Innovative Technology Under the Hood

    Equipped with BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology, the X1 All Electric boasts a highly integrated drive unit. Its single-speed transmission powers an electric motor on the front axle, delivering 204 hp and 250 Nm of maximum torque. The compact high-voltage lithium-ion battery, conforms into the vehicle floor, offers a net capacity of 66.4 kWh and an excellent MIDC-certified driving range of 531 kilometers.

    The SUV is designed for quick and hassle-free charging. With a 130 kW DC charger, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes, adding a range of 120 kilometres in only 10 minutes. The 11 kW AC charger offers a full charge from 0% to 100% in approximately six and a half hours.

    BMW guarantees peace of mind for its customers with a complimentary 5-year BMW Roadside Assistance package. This round-the-clock service guarantees prompt support during emergencies, making ownership seamless and worry-free.

    Speaking at the launch, Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, emphasized the significance of the vehicle: “BMW has pioneered a disruption in the Indian premium automotive segment by launching the first-ever X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric. Exuding space, comfort, and versatility, it is the perfect premium SUV for rising aspirations of New Bharat.” Pawah further highlighted the milestone achieved with local production at BMW Group Plant Chennai, marking a new era of innovation and excellence.
