    Avaada Group is investing ₹20,700 crore in Odisha’s renewable energy sector. The funding of ₹ 20,700 crores will be utilized in developing 1.5 GW floating solar projects and two 1 GW pumped storage projects besides setting up manufacturing units for green energy equipment within the state. The announcement was made at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, where Avaada Group has made its commitment formal through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Odisha. 

    Advancing Renewable Energy Infrastructure

    The planned floating solar projects will tap the potential of water bodies in Odisha, bringing in a twin benefit of energy generation and efficient land use. Supplementing this, the pumped storage projects will augment the energy storage capacity and ensure that people get stable and reliable power. These projects will go a long way in strengthening the renewable energy infrastructure in Odisha and placing its contribution to the fulfillment of state and national goals on sustainable development.
