Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the prominent manufacturers of the SUV in India, has officially released the highly awaited XUV 3XO EV today, which is a huge addition to the company in terms of its electric vehicle collection in the nation.

The new electric SUV will be sold at a competitive price starting at 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom) up to 14.96 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in two variants, AX5 and AX7L, which will be sold and start deliveries on February 23, 2026.

    Mahindra Group

The XUV 3XO EV is based on the already-selling XUV 3XO with ICE and uses its modern design language but adds EV-specific improvements. The electric SUV is equipped with a 39.4 kWh battery pack that provides up to 285 km of real-world range on a single charge.

The electric motor produces 110 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque, which gives it a spirited 0-100 km/h acceleration of about 8.3 seconds, thus making it one of the fastest in its class.

Mahindra has made the XUV 3XO EV full of modern features that are intended to increase comfort, convenience, and safety. The SUV has Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist; connected car technology; a panorama sunroof; a dual 10.25-inch HD infotainment and instrument cluster; and a premium 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos.

A 360-degree surround-view camera, several airbags, and electronic stability control also contribute to safety credentials, and it shows the emphasis that Mahindra puts on the protection of occupants in the EV space.

The XUV 3XO EV joins the electric compact SUV fray when the EV market in India is picking up, with more buyers interested in the product and favorable policy efforts. It would directly compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and provide the Mahindra brand with its own base of loyal customers with easy access to electric mobility.

    The Financial Express

Bringing a balance of performance, technology, and value, Mahindra is hopeful that the XUV 3XO EV will be instrumental in ensuring that more people in the country adopt EVs. Experts are suggesting the market strategy of Mahindra is a milestone in India’s EV industry.
