In the constantly changing landscape of Indian logistics, ZEVO India is leading a green revolution. Established in 2022 by Dhruv Bhatia and Aditya Singh Ratnu, this trailblazing company is transforming supply chains through zero-emission vehicle operation. It is not just a company, but a movement, a pledge to sustainability and efficiency that is transforming last-mile logistics nationwide.

    A Vision for Change

ZEVO India was established on the belief that effective, sustainable mobility is the gateway to logistically-freedom in the future. Co-founders Ratnu and Bhatia, erstwhile finance professionals and college friends, perceived gaps in sustainable mobility, cold-chain logistics, and micro-warehousing opportunities going unexploited. Their dream? Use these gaps with innovative electric vehicle (EV) solutions.

Innovative Offerings for a Sustainable Tomorrow

ZEVO’s business is energy-efficient and reliable EV infrastructure in e-commerce, food delivery, and pharma sectors.

    Its core services are:

    • Smart Electric Fleet: From vans for business-to-consumer last-mile delivery to cargo bikes, ZEVO has purpose-built electric vehicles that fit flawlessly into businesses’ supply chains.
    • Trained EV Drivers: Its highly trained drivers offer cost-effective and environmentally friendly last-mile delivery.
    • Chilled EV Deliveries: Temperature-controlled electric vehicles ensure safe delivery of sensitive products, and this is ideal for pharma and FMCG segments.
    • Micro Warehouse Facilities: Warehousing at strategic locations reduces carbon footprints and enhances delivery cycles.
    • EV Charging Infrastructure: A chain of charge points and battery-swapping centers provides a hassle-free experience.

Strategic Alliance and Pan India Expansion

ZEVO is a global entity, all thanks to industrial giant tie-ups. Some of its most noted tie-ups are:

    • Zomato Hyperpure: Efficient logistics for green food supply chain in metros such as Pune, Delhi, and Noida.
    • BigBasket: Successful grocery delivery business in a number of markets from Pune to Delhi and Rajasthan.
    • Flipkart: Green grocery delivery optimized in large metros and tier-2 cities.
    • Shadowfax, HOLISOL, and Porter: Venturing into carbon-free delivery in multiple markets.

Operating in more than 25 cities of tier-2 and tier-3 towns, ZEVO is expanding green logistics to hinterlands outside the metros.

    Funding and Growth Strategy

ZEVO’s growth is made possible through strategic funding:

    • Pre-Series A Fundraising: ZEVO raised $2 million of capital in 2024 from Pegasus India Fund, BizDateUp, and JITO Incubation & Innovation Foundation to expand operations and put 5,000 EVs on the road.
    • Future Capital Plans: ZEVO will raise $20 million by early 2025 and 200,000 electric vehicles in its fleet by 2030.

A Greener Footprint: ZEVO’s Environmental Impact

ZEVO’s strategy is to fight climate change by reducing supply chain CO₂ emissions by a massive amount. By its green logistics strategy, as uncovered by business news, ZEVO has effectively eliminated thousands of tons of CO₂. Partnerships like with HOLISOL, whose operations are zero-emission-based, unveil the company’s sustainability focus.

    The Road Ahead

Though expansion opens ZEVO up, and growing charging stations and unstable market trends create ever-present hardships, vision-driven strategic capital, sound partnerships, and pedal-to-the-metal growth strategy create a strong groundwork for success.

ZEVO India’s vision and mission-driven strategy is catching the EV wave to the highest, and becoming the controller. With the country turning green with logistics, ZEVO goes into top gear and demonstrates that eco-mobility and efficiency are not conflicting words.
