According to a press release dated March 3, 2025, the company won at the 17th Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2025 in Singapore. They stood out among over 250 entries across 20 categories. This is their eighth straight year earning recognition at this event. Here’s what the press release has to say regarding their recent success.

    Two Platinum Awards

The press statement declares Bridgestone Platinum honours. They received the award for “Best Environmental Excellence” for overseas environmental activities. They received the award for “Best in India” for national contributions. The two awards speak well of Bridgestone’s idea of community progress and sustainability. The wins align with their Bridgestone E8 Commitment, focusing on “Ecology,” “Ease,” and “Empowerment.”

    • Environmental Excellence: Honors biodiversity initiatives.
    • Best in India: Highlights sustainability work in India.

This brings BSAPIC’s total to 17 and 18 awards at this summit since 2018.

    Key Environmental Projects

The press release lists specific projects behind the “Best Environmental Excellence” win. Bridgestone Indonesia runs the Mangrove Project to restore habitats. Their Sanggabuana Project tackles deforestation through reforestation. In Thailand, the “Water Boy” initiative expands water supply and supports wildlife in drought areas. Bridgestone India’s Project Green Goal, active at Indore and Pune plants, boosts species conservation and contributed to the “Best in India” award.

    • Mangrove Project: Restores ecosystems in Indonesia.
    • Water Boy: Aids water access in Thailand.
    • Green Goal: Protects species in India.

These efforts also tie into the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

    Leadership Perspective

Paul Choo, BSAPIC’s Chief Human Resources Officer, spoke in the press release. He oversees HR and CSR for the region. “We are honored to receive the ‘Best Environmental Excellence Award’ and the ‘Best in India Award’ at the Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2025,” he said. “Beyond delivering sustainable solutions to our customers, we are committed to making a tangible impact by driving environmental progress, fostering education, and expanding opportunities that empower communities.” Choo highlighted the Bridgestone E8 Commitment as their roadmap for sustainability.

    Relevance of Summit

The 17th Annual Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards is a leading Asian platform, according to the press release. It identifies excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG behavior. Companies are judged on ethics, compliance, and society and environment concern. More than 250 entries vied this year. Bridgestone’s double win reflects their outstanding performance.

    Bridgestone’s Bigger Mission

The press release outlines Bridgestone’s global scope. Headquartered in Tokyo, they employ about 130,000 people. They operate in over 150 countries. Their goal is to become a sustainable solutions company by 2050. The Bridgestone E8 Commitment guides this with eight “E” values, including Energy, Ecology, and Empowerment.

    • Workforce: Approximately 130,000 employees worldwide.
